Randy’s seeks drivers with certain qualifications and trains them to maintain our high company standards. The following information provides additional details on becoming a driver for Randy’s Environmental Services.
I. Qualifications and Responsibilities
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with airbrake in possession at the time of employment.
Applicant must be twenty-one (21) years or older for in-state driving; twenty-one (21) years of age or older for out-of-state driving.
Applicant must be capable of passing driving tests conducted by the Company’s designated Training and Development personnel
Applicant must successfully complete a physical examination and controlled substance testing.
Applicant must be capable of certification according to DOT regulations.
Applicant must be able to read and understand a Hudson map book.
II. Driver Evaluation
All Company drivers must successfully complete a Company driving training program. Upon successful completion of the course, our Training and Development personnel then evaluate the driver.
III. Training Period (90 days)
The driver training program is designed to take into account each drivers experience level. Informal reviews are given at 30, 60, and 90 days. At six months, the driver is given a formal review. If company standards are met and maintained, driver may be placed within one of the Driver Levels depending on performance as outlined in the review categories and points scored. The training coordinator monitors all drivers’ training.
IV. Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations / Driver’s Handbook.
Every driver will receive a copy of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Driver’s Handbook which is required to be read and understood. These manuals include procedures that must be followed in order to drive for our Company.
V. Continual Update of Company Procedures
As the business changes and new procedures and work responsibilities must be assumed by the driving staff, our Company uses them in the following procedures:Meetings of the drivers and management personnel

Twelfth Year and Beyond: 16.67 hours/month, maximum 25 days (5 weeks)
